The Worldwide Organization for Women's Studies (WOWS) is a federation of women's studies associations. It was founded to promote and support feminist knowledge, critiques of knowledge, and practices and research, which will improve the quality of women's lives. This includes supporting the activities of groups seeking to establish, extend, and defend women's studies teaching and research.
WOWS, as a women's studies association, recognizes and incorporates differences and diversity, facilitates participation, and enables new interests in women's studies to find a place. The association has a commitment to oppose all forms of discrimination and oppression in society and in our organization.
