693-32-86 The Women's Studies Center was founded in 1992, at the Venezuela Central University. Our center develops, promotes and exchanges information and research with gender vision, and presents alternatives in this area to empower women and contributes to human development in Venezuela. The CEM-UCV is an academic proposal, integrated to realities of the Venezuelan society. We offer expert assistance to government, NGOs, universities, national and foreign institutes, and multilateral organizations to intercede in public policies and development programs oriented to women. The CEM-UCV maintains a constant program to provide to the community in general, resources and information to find the equity and the social justice. The UCV Women's Studies Center publishes twice a year the Revista venezolana de estudios de la mujer, ad promotes biannual National congress in gender studies. Also, counts with the only M.A. program in Women Studies in Venezuela, started since September 2002. Worldwide
