The Asian Center for Women's Studies (ACWS) was founded for developing Women's Studies theories and practices, based on Asian women's experiences and identities. It aims to strengthen Asian women's solidarity through international exchange of knowledge and cooperation; it contributes to the betterment of women's lives all around the world by helping to realize the goals of equality, development, and peace.

ACWS activities include Asian Women's Studies curriculum development; education; women in Korea; events; research; exchange program. ACWS also publishes the Asian Journal of Women's Studies (AJWS).
