The Centre for Women's Development Studies (CWDS) is a research center comprising a group of professionals working for women's equality and development in all spheres of life.
The Center encourages new directions in feminist scholarship by initiating investigations across disciplines. Through its research, action, documentation, training, and networking over the last two decades it has engaged in critical analyses of trends and issues in women's development.
The Center maintains a specialized library with a collection on women and development in India, open to students, research scholars, gender consultants, policymakers, and journalists. They publish The Indian Journal of Gender Studies bi-annually, as well as discussion papers and monographs.
