FAWE Ghana Chapter is the national chapter
of an internationally recognized African regional organization with
membership in 45 African countries where national chapters have been opened.
The main focus of FAWE Ghana Chapter is an advocacy campaign at the national
and district levels to encourage girl's education. It also selects specific
areas for intervention and research, raises funds and mobilizes specific
interventions, prepares reports, and shares experiences through networking
with other FAWE member countries as well as with other organizations engaged
in activities relating to gender equality within the educational system.
The organization consists of women educators, women parliamentarians, and
grassroot traditional and opinion leaders dealing with education. FAWE Ghana
Chapter disseminates information through networking, the internet, and their
newsletter.
