WOWS has also identified other activities that could be expected to be taken up. Some of these have already come to be; others may take many years to implement.
  • Publishing a newsletter
  • Maintaining a Homepage and an e-mail discussion list
  • Organizing international solidarity by supporting countries with few women's studies resources by sending materials and lobbying for resources and recognition in regional and international organizations and institutions
  • Collecting and disseminating information in the form of lists of experts, study guides, handbooks, and guides to sources of funding
  • Cooperating with international women's studies journals
  • Supporting and advising students, freelancers, and staff members interested in women's studies
  • Publishing brochures, booklets, and other informative material
  • Facilitating scientific networking by supporting the organization of conferences and seminars
  • Developing and supporting national and international initiatives related to women's studies
  • Fundraising
  • Producing bibliographies and publications
  • Applying for NGO status
  • Establishing a coordinating centre
