Women and politics have traditionally been perceived as mutually
exclusive dimensions even though they possess an intimate
and inseparable relationship. It is therefore important to
conduct a comparative country-by-country analysis to examine
how women have been influenced by the challenges and opportunities
of globalization and local politics. The theme of "Politics
and Good Governance" includes: 1) Research that aims
to present a new theoretical and analytical framework in promoting
good governance from the perspectives of women and politics.
2) Comparative research on the dynamics of how the rights
of women in countries around the world have evolved. 3) Studies
on identifying challenges and opportunities women face today,
particularly in the context of "human security"
and good governance. And 4) research that includes methods
and programs for promoting the rights and interests of women.
