The exchange of materials and human resources resulting from
globalization is changing women's roles and activities as
well as their living conditions. The influences of globalization
are multi-faceted. Not only does globalization tend to perpetuate
disadvantageous conditions for women, but it can also bring
about many positive changes; by implementing global standards,
for example. In the process of globalization women are victims
but can also take the initiative, negotiate, act as cooperating
agents and subjects at the same time. This section will discuss
the influence of globalization on women through exchange of
research based on contextual specifics of diverse local areas.
